Metal:

A substance that has a tendency to lose e- and form cations is considered a metal.

It has the following properties.

  • Ductility
  • Malleability
  • Sonorous
  • High tensile strength
  • solid at room temperature except for a few examples such as mercury, gallium, cesium, etc. are liquid metal

Malleability: It is a property of a material by which it can be beaten to form thin sheets.

  • The capability of being shaped or extended by hammering, forging, etc.
  • Most metals are malleable

For Examples: Zinc, Iron, Aluminum, Copper, Gold, and Silver etc.
