The calyx is the outermost whorl of the flower and the members of the calyx are called sepals. There are two types of calyx:
1. Polysepalous calyx, has separated sepals in the calyx.
2. Gamosepalous calyx has fused sepals in the calyx.
The corolla is a whorl of bright-coloured petals. Corolla is of two types:
1. Polypetalous corolla has separated petals in the corolla.
2. Gamopetalous corolla has fused petals in the corolla.
