Patenting and exploitation of bioresources of other nations without proper authorisation or access and benefit sharing agreement is called Biopiracy. It is being carried out by many organisations and multinational companies by posing that components of bioresources are products of their research. Eg:Turmeric, Neem, Basmatic Rice are some of the products have patents in other countries.
