Differences:

Preference SharesEquity Shares (i) Preference Shares carry a preferential right at Equity Shares does not have any such the time of re-payment of capital and at the right in terms of re-payment of capitaltime of payment of dividend.and payment of dividend.(ii) Preference shares may be converted to Equity Shares are not convertibe. Equity Shares, if the terms of issue soprovide.
