According to the flow of light materials divided into three parts

1 Those material which allow whole light to pass through them is known as transparent material.

Example: glass and air are example of transparent material

2 Those materials which allow partially of light to pass through them is known as translucent material.

Example: Butter Paper, Oiled Paper are example of transparent material

3 Those material which do not allow light to pass through them are called opaque material.

Example: Cardboard, book are example of transparent material
