  3. Cardiac reserve may be 3-4 times greater than the resting value of healthy person.
  4. It act as a major determinant of exercise capacity in a population of healthy subjects and patients with heart disease.
  5. This method thus to be used to provide a clear definition of the extent of cardiac impairment in patients with heart failure.
