What is meant by free fall?

1. A body at a height from the surface of the earth moving towards the center of the earth under the influence of only the gravitational pull of the earth is said to be in a free fall.
2. A ball dropped from the top of a tower is an example of free fall.
3. During free fall, everybody has an accelerated motion, and everybody whether a stone or a feather moves with the same acceleration, that is acceleration due to gravity (when the air resistance is negligible).
