If you say that something is immaterial, you mean that it is not important or not relevant.


If a fuse wire is connected in parallel of an appliance then it is immaterial for the fuse wire as the current flows through the appliance directly in both cases whether the fuse wire is present or not.

The thickness of fuse determines how much current can be pass hence fuse of any length can be used but it's thickness should be proper
so length of fuse wire is immaterial
