1. Kinetic energy:

  2. For example, A moving car has kinetic energy due to its motion.
  3. A falling stone has kinetic energy.

2. Potential energy:

  1. It is the energy possessed by a body due to its position.
  2. It is of two types, elastic potential energy and gravitational potential energy.
  3. For example, A stretched rubber band has elastic potential energy due to its changed shape.
  4. Fruit on a tree has gravitational potential energy due to its height above the ground.
