Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma. It is a very important part of a plant's life cycle. Pollination is of two types Self-pollination and Cross-pollination. Self-pollination is the basic type because it involves the bisexual flower. Cross-pollination is when one plant pollinates a plant of other varieties. Pollen grains are the microscopic structures which carry the male reproductive structures of the plants. Germinating pollen contains Exine, Intine, pollen tube Germ pore, Tube nucleus, Germinating nucleus.
