Properties are the characteristics of a chemical compound. Properties can be physical as well as chemical.
Physical property is a characteristic of a substance which can be determined without changing the composition of the substance. For eg. boiling point, freezing point etc are physical properties.
Chemical property are those properties which changes the composition of the substance and leads to formation of a new substance. For eg. heat of combustion, pH. reactivity with water, etc.
