1. Saprotrophic nutrition is the mode of nutrition in which organisms take in nutrients in solution form from dead & decaying matter.

2. Plants that use such a mode of nutrition are called saprotrophs.

3. Saprotrophs are usually white in color but can have brightly colored flowers.Mainly they do not have leaves.

4. They grow in places with lots of rotting dead leaves.

5. Some examples are mushroom and bread molds.
