• Mitosis
• Meiosis
• Amitosis

cell division is the most important process for living organisms without which life is not possible. There is much significance of cell division but few are as follows:

• Cell multiplication - Formation of new cells from older ones.
• Life continuity - Continuation from one generation to another.
• Growth - The division of cells increases the growth of an individual.
• Size - Required size is obtained.
• Reproduction - Formation of a new organism from older one through meiosis.
