All the electric appliances require electrical power to work. The amount of electrical power consumed by the electrical appliance is termed the wattage of the electrical power. Usually, the wattage of an electrical appliance is measured in Watts.

If an electrical appliance has 25 wattages, then it means that it will consume 25 Joules of electrical energy in one second.
