Upthrust :

  1. The upward force exerted on an object wholly or partly immersed in a fluid is called Upthrust .
  2. Due to the buoyant force, a body submerged partially or fully in a fluid appears to lose its weight and appears to be lighter than before .
  3. Example :A leaf floating on a still pond is getting upthrust from the water, that results it not to sink .
