Vestigial organs are those organs which are non-functional in the present generation but were functional in their ancestors. Human alone possesses more than a hundred vestigial organs in his body such as vermiform appendix at the end of the caecum, coccyx (tail vertebrae) and tail-muscles and nipples in males.
