molarity = moles of solute/liters of solution
Molality (m) is defined as the number of moles of solute per kilogram of solvent.
molality = moles of solute/kilograms of solvent
Although their spellings are similar, molarity and molality cannot be interchanged. Molarityis a measurement of the moles in the total volume of the solution, whereas molality is a measurement of the moles in relationship to the mass of the solvent.
