Mathematically,
Momentum (p) = mass (m) x velocity (v)
or, p = m v
S.I. unit of momentum is kgm/s
As, momentum (p) = mass x velocity
(a) when mass is fixed,
momentum will vary linearly with velocity as shown in graph.
(b) when velocity is fixed
momentum will vary linearly with mass as shown in graph.
