Open in App
Solution

  1. Acid and Base both are dangerous if they are strong bases or strong acids.
  2. If we compare which one is more dangerous a strong acid is more dangerous than a weak base and a strong base is more dangerous than a weak acid.
  3. Strong bases are those bases whose pH range is from 11.5 to 14 and completely dissociates into aqueous solutions. Example-Sodium hydroxideNaOH
  4. Weak bases are those bases that has pH range from 8 to 11 and does not completely dissociate in aqueous solutions. Example-AmmoniaNH3.
  5. Strong acids are those acids that has pH range from 1to 3.5 and completely dissociate in aqueous solutions. Example -Hydrochloric acidHCl.
  6. Weak acids are acids that has pH range from 4 to 6.5 and do not completely dissociate in aqueous solutions. Example - Acetic acidCH3COOH.
  7. Strong acids can burn the skin and irritate the skin.
  8. Strong bases can cause itchiness, irritability, and burn if they come in contact with skin, eyes, or by inhalation and ingestion can also cause harm to our body.
