Morula:

  1. Morula is the 8-16 celled stage during cleavage which is developed by the end of the 4th day after fertilization.
  2. Morula is formed at the upper portion of the oviduct i.e. isthmus, where fertilization takes place.
  3. Blastomeres on the surface of the morula forms extra-embryonic parts of the embryo.
  4. The cells on the interior is developed into proper embryo.

Fate of morula:

  1. The cells divide further to form 32-64 celled stage known as blastocyst.
  2. It is differentiated into inner cell mass and outer trophoblast.
