Solution

Dear student,
A neutralization reaction is when an acid and a base react to form water and a salt and involves the combination of H+ ions and OH- ions to generate water.
e.g. HBr + KOH = KBr + H2O
HCl + NaOH = NaCl + H2O
One use of this reaction in real life is applying vinegar on wasp sting. Here vinegar reacts against formic acid.

Regards.
