Example:

1. Reaction between hydrochloric acid(HCl) and sodium hydroxide(NaOH)

  • Hydrochloric acid reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce their salt sodium chloride(NaCl) and water.

HCl(aq)+NaOH(aq)NaCl(s)+H2O(l)

2. Reaction between Potassium hydroxide and sulphuric acid

  • Sulphuric acid(H2SO4) reacts with Potassium hydroxide(KOH) to produce their salt Potassium sulphate(K2SO4) and water(H2O).

2KOH(aq)+H2SO4(aq)K2SO4(s)+2H2O(l)
