Any unwanted and unpleasant sound is termed noise.
A sound is produced by the combinations of fundamental frequency and its harmonics.
When the sound contains regular and periodic vibrations, the sound is musical.
When the sound contains irregular and non-periodic vibrations, it becomes noise.
Therefore, the pollution caused by this noise is called noise pollution.
