  1. Nucleoplasm is a thick, colourless fluid present within the nucleus.
  2. It is mostly made up of water.
  3. It is bound within the nucleus by the nuclear membrane.
  4. Within the nucleoplasm the chromatin fibres, which are made up of DNA, are suspended.
  5. The nucleolus also lies within the nucleoplasm.
