Solution

The correct options are
A

The pungent-smell of ammonia cannot be observed

B

White fumes are formed

When we introduce a glass rod dipped in concentrated hydrochloric acid into a glass jar filled with ammonia, the two chemicals react with each other leading to the formation of white fumes of ammonium chloride. The equation for this reaction is given below.
HCl+NH3 NH4Cl

Since both, the compounds of ammonia and hydrochloric acid are combining with each other. The quantity of ammonia is reducing in the glass jar, therefore, the smell of ammonia will also reduce after the reaction.
