Solution
Osteoporosis:
Osteoporosis is a bone disease.
The word "
porous bones
" derives from Latin.
A healthy bone's inside is like a honeycomb, with microscopic spaces.
Osteoporosis causes the bone to lose strength and density by expanding the amount of these gaps.
Moreover, the bone's exterior weakens and thins.
Fractures, or bone breaks, are common in people with osteoporosis when people stand or walk.
Ribs, hips, and wrist and spine bones are the most commonly affected.
