Solution

Ovulation:

  1. Ovulation happens when the egg is released from the ovaries.
  2. Ovulation usually occurs around the 14th day of the 28-day menstrual cycle.
  3. This is counted from the first day of menstruation.
  4. However, the normal cycle can last 21 to 35 days in adults.
  5. Eggs may or may not be fertilized by sperm when released from the ovary.
  6. But when an egg is fertilized, it can move to the uterus, be transplanted, and a woman becomes pregnant.
  7. If not fertilized, the endometrium that is the lining of the uterus will be shed during menstruation.
