What is ozone? Explain the problems arising due to the depletion of ozone layer.

Ozone is the form of oxygen,its a triatomic molecule (O₃).

Ozone forms a layer called as the ozone layer in our atmosphere. The ozone layer wards off harmful ultraviolet radiations from the sun and thus protects the living organisms. But, if this layer gets depleted then the ultra violet radiations will directly reach the earth leading to various skin diseases and cancers.
