Solution

Blood groups:

  1. The presence or absence of antibodies and hereditary antigenic compounds on the surface of RBC are used to classify blood types.
  2. Depending on the blood group system, these antigens can be protein, carbohydrates, glycoproteins, or glycolipids.
  3. A, B, AB, and O are the four primary blood groups.
  4. The genes you acquire from your parents define your blood group.
  5. Each blood type can be RhD positive or RhD negative, and it accounts for a total of eight blood groups.

P null blood group:

  1. A blood type is rare if it lacks a high-frequency antigen or several common antigens.
  2. It is deemed rare while less than 1 in 1000 people has it.
  3. P null is defined as the absence of antigens, where the phenotype is 'p' and the genotype is 'pp'.
  4. Anti P+ anti P1 antibodies are always present in the serum of people with the pp genotype.
