The formation or development of fruits without fertilization is called parthenocarpy.
It is a type of asexual reproduction.
The seedless fruit is produced because of the absence of fertilization, this type of fruit is called parthenocarpic fruit. For Example banana, pineapple and some varieties of orange and grapes.
The hormone responsible for the induction of parthenocarpy:
Parthenocarpy is induced by the plant hormone auxin.
Auxin is produced at the tip of the stem.
It promotes cell elongation, cell division, cell differentiation,, etc.
