Open in App
Solution

The (O||CNHCCONH) linakge (amide linkage) by which, α-amino acids are joined in linear fashion in proteins is called peptide linakge. Peptide linkage or dipeptide is formed by condensation of acidic group(COOH) of one molecule of α-amino acid and base NH2 group of other molecule or α-amino acid with elimination of a water molecule.
