Phenotype: The external appearance of a particular individual w.r.t. a particular characteristic is defined as phenotype. Like- Characteristic stem height has a Tall and a dwarf phenotype.
Genotype: Genetic make up of a particular gene or allele or allelic pair or combination w.r.t. the particular characteristic is genotype. Like characteristic stem height has TT, Tt, and tt genotypes.
The definition regarding both provides the difference to the terms.
