pOH Definition: pOH is a measure of hydroxide ion (OH-) concentration. pOH is a measure of the alkalinity of a solution. Aqueous solutions at 25°C with pOH less than 7 are alkaline, pOH greater than 7 are acidic and pOH equal to 7 are neutral.
poH scale has many application in daily life.as per definition poH scale is just opposite to pH scale.These scale can be used in both alkaline and acidic solution.in more alkaline solution the pH scale may indicate acidity above 7.that means it is alkaline.for simplicity of calculation poH scale can be used.
poH scale can use for agricutural purpose,to measure alkalinity of the mud.it can use to check the alkalinity of drinking water and assuring it is safe to drink.
In the absence of pH scale poH scale can be used to check acidity.
