1. Respiration through lungs is called pulmonary respiration.
2. The mechanism of pulmonary respiration:

• It includes breathing movement, exchange of gases, in lungs, transport of gases by blood and exchange of gase by tissue.
• Pulmonary circulation is commonly referred to as breathing.
• It is the process of air flowing into the lungs during inspiration (inhalation) and out of the lungs during expiration (exhalation).
• Air flows because of pressure differences between the atmosphere and the gases inside the lungs.
