  1. p-type semiconductors carry holes in the majority.
  2. It is a positive type semiconductor and it means it needs 1electron.
  3. In p-type semiconductors minority charge carries electrons.

n-type semiconductors:

  1. It is a negative type semiconductor and it has an excess of 1 electron.
  2. In this semiconductor, the V group adds pentavalent impurity to the pure semiconductor.
  3. Some examples of these impurities are Arsenic, Bismuth, etc.
