Question
What is PV indicator diagram?

Solution
PV indicator diagram is drawn between pressure and volume, which is used in mainly thermodynamics process, physiology, and respiratory process.
It is originally called an indicator diagram.
The graph is drawn between pressure and volume by showing the variation of pressure along the X-axis and volume at the Y-axis.
The nature of the thermodynamic system will signify the shape of the indicator diagram.
The pictorial view of the indicator diagram for
isobaric process is as follows:
Isobaric processes are those where the pressure of the system is constant.
In such a process the volume changes from initial to final without change in pressure.
The slope of the graph is 0 because the pressure is constant.
Mathematical representation of slope:

V

is the initial volume,
V
f
is the final volume,
P
i
is the pressure and W is the work done.
