Oscillation :

  1. The mechanism of recurring fluctuations in time of any sum or measure of its equilibrium value is defined as oscillation.
  2. A periodic change of a matter between two values, or of its center value, can alternatively be described as oscillation.
  3. An oscillator is a technical analysis method that creates high and low bands between two extreme values, then develops a fluctuating trend indication within these bounds. Traders utilize the trend indicator to identify short-term overbought or oversold conditions.
