Radius of gyration of a body about a given axis is equal to root mean square distance of the constituent particles of the body from the given axis

It can be find using the following formula :
K = r12 + r22 .....+ rn2nwhere, n is the no. of particles of rigid body each of mass mr1, r2, r3 ..... rn be the perpendicular distances of these particles from the axis of rotation.
