Solution

Rathke's Cleft Cyst:

  1. Rathke's Cleft Cyst is a kind of rare benign tumour that develops between the parts of the pituitary gland at the base of the brain (sella turcica).
  2. Since this cyst is benign, it is not cancerous but it can put pressure on the brain causing serious problems by pressing the cranial nerves.
  3. If Rathke cleft cyst becomes large enough, it can cause vision changes or various problems with the pituitary gland's normal processes.
  4. Rathke cleft cysts are typically diagnosed with MRI or CT imaging of the brain.
  5. Small cysts do not require any treatment but large cysts may require surgery.
