Recruitment is a process that involves analysing the requirements of a job in an organisation and attracting a pool of potential individuals towards that job for selection. The four external sources of recruitment are as follows :

(ii) Labour contractors: Labour contractors are independent recruitment businesses that collect a pool of unskilled labour to work in roads and building construction, plantation industries, etc.
(iii) Campus recruitment: This involves organisations to recruit fresh graduates from schools, colleges, and universities for specific jobs requiring technical or professional qualifications.
(iv) Casual callers: Casual callers are potential employees or job applicants themselves call, walk-in and distribute their job applications to the organisations even if certain job requirements are not posted.
