1. What is rectilinear motion?
2. What is circular motion?
3. What is periodic motion?
1) RECTILINEAR MOTION
Rectilinear motion is defined as a linear motion in which the direction of the velocity remains constant and the path is a straight line.
For example - A car running on a straight road.
2) CIRCULAR MOTION
Circular motion is defined as the movement of an object along the circumference of a circle or rotation along a circular path.
It can be uniform, with the constant angular rate of rotation and constant speed, or non-uniform with a changing rate of rotation.
3) PERIODIC MOTION
Periodic motion is defined as the motion which repeats itself in equal intervals of time.
For example - The rotation of the earth on its axis.
