What is reflection of light ? Also write the laws of reflection.

The phenomenon of bouncing back of light rays in the same medium on striking the smooth surface is known as reflection of light.

There are two laws of reflection :

1) Angle of incidence is always equal to angle of reflection , i.e., $\angle i=\angle r$.

2) The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal at the point of incidence, all lie in the same plane.
