Representative fractions are written as 1 followed by a : (colon) and then a number, in which the first number is the fraction’s numerator, the colon represents the division operation, and the second number is the fraction’s denominator.
One inch on the map equals 24,000 inches on the ground, and one centimeter on the map equals 24,000 centimeters on the ground, then RF can be expressed as 1: 24,000.
