Using resources judiciously and giving them time to get renewed is called resource conservation. Conservation of resources is essential because resources are limited in nature. Most of the resources that are used everyday such as petrol, diesel, iron, coal have limited stock. The rate at which the resources are consumed today far exceeds the rate at which these resources are replenished. This will eventually lead to exhaustion of resources and our future generations will suffer. Therefore , to avoid such undesirable happenings in future, we need to give utmost priority for resource conservation today.
