Resource planning is the act of allocating and utilizing resources like people, machinery,raw materials etc. It involves surveying, mapping and qualitative and quantitative estimation of resources. Availability of resources are not infinite. Hence resource planning is essential for sustainability and equitable distribution of resources. Resource planning is important for the very existence of all living beings, it is called the strategy for cautious utilisation of resources.
