The respiratory system is a biological system consisting of specific organs and structures used for the process of gaseous exchange(oxygen and carbon dioxide) in an organism.
The function of the human respiratory system is to transport air into the lungs and to facilitate the diffusion of oxygen into the blood stream. It also receives carbon dioxide from the blood and exhales it into the atmosphere.

The organs of the respiratory system are as follows:
  1. Nasal cavity
  2. Pharynx
  3. Trachea
  4. Lungs
  5. Bronchi
  6. Bronchioles
  7. Alveoli(inside the lungs)
