What is the average kinetic energy per molecule of the gas?

Average kinetic energy :

  1. The average kinetic of any gas is equal to the product of half of the mass of each gas molecule and the square of the RMS speed of that gas molecule.
  2. The formula for average kinetic energy can be written as K=32kBT or 12mC2
    Where KB is the Boltzmann constant , T is the temperature of the gas, m is the mass of each molecule, C is the root mean square speed of the molecules and K is the average kinetic energy per molecule if the gas.
  3. The average kinetic energy of the gas per molecule does not depend on the nature of the gas or we may say that it remains same for all the gases at a specific temperature.
