• Sexual reproduction: The form of reproduction where the offsprings are formed from the gametes produced by two parents i.e the male and the female is known as sexual reproduction. It involves fertilisation and the fusion of gametes to result in the formation of the new offspring.
• Asexual reproduction: The form of reproduction in which the new offspring is formed from a single parent is known as asexual reproduction. It may occur by binary fission, fragmentation or budding.
