Fog or haze intensified by smoke or other atmospheric pollutants is called smog .Smog, is a type of air pollution. It is caused by burning large amount of coal. In present time’s smog are caused due to vehicular emission, industrial fumes which react in atmosphere along with sunlight to form photochemical smog.

This photochemical smog contains toxic mixture of air pollutants like sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ozone and other volatile organic compounds.

The air pollutants from smog cause serious problems to senior citizens, children and people with heart and lung problems leading to emphysema, bronchitis, asthma
