What is so unique about the blood circulation in a new born child?
Blood carries wastes for first time
The fetus has all its needs taken care of by the mother through the placenta but as soon as it comes out, the immature liver starts excreting waste products, it starts producing its own antibodies to protect it from infection and throws out waste fluids from lungs. The blood starts carrying the waste materials from each of the tissue cells for the first time as well.
